Hailie Jade Mathers announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Evan McClintock on Monday.

Eminem’s daughter shared a series of photos on Instagram (above), including a picture of her wearing a ring while holding a glass of champagne and another showing McClintock down on one knee. According to the Daily Mail, the two were attending Michigan State University when they started dating in 2016.

Eminem, who turned 50 last fall, momentarily discussed his daughter on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson back in 2020. “No babies. Just a boyfriend. She’s doing good,” said. “She’s made me proud for sure.”

A lot has changed since then. Hailie becomes the rapper’s second daughter to get engaged. Alaina announced her engagement to Matt Moeller, boyfriend of seven years, in December 2021.

Hailie Jade hosts the Just a Little Shady podcast where she touches on a number of topics, including her relatively normal childhood, despite being Eminem’s daughter. “Obviously we were in a normal public school, we never thought anything was different,” she recalled on one episode. “I don’t know, we had so many normal experiences that when something like that happened, I thought like, ‘Oh, everybody else does this too.’ Not realizing that like, no, that’s freaking weird.”

“It’s so fun to look back, when we have these conversations here, wherever, like thinking back as an adult, like, ‘Wow, that’s actually so surreal,’” she continued. “Those memories of me thinking those were normal things, now I look back and I’m like, ‘Holy crap, that was cool.’”
