It seems Rihanna and ASAP Rocky aren’t getting hitched in the immediate future.
Rumors of a secret engagement were fueled Thursday after the release of Rocky’s “D.M.B.” video, in which he and RiRi flaunted their romance with tons of wedding imagery. According to a press release, the video showed the couple as “true ride-or-die characters in a devoted relationship despite their circumstances.” In one shot, Rocky is seen donning gold grills emblazoned with the question, “Marry Me?” The camera cuts to Rihanna smiling ear-to-ear, showing off her own grills with the phrase, “I Do.”
Fans immediately concluded that the couple, which is expecting their first child together later this year, had already gotten engaged or, perhaps, secretly got married. However, a source tells TMZ the visual was simply for fun, and the two are not, in fact, engaged.
Complex has reached out to Rocky and Rihanna’s respective camps for comment.

The couple confirmed their relationship in 2020, after Rihanna announced her split from Hassan Jameel. Fast-forward to January of this year, when the Anti singer shared a series of photos of her baby bump.
“Having a baby is something she was never focused on, but being with Rocky opened her up to the idea,” an insider told People magazine shortly after the announcement. “She couldn’t be happier and is so excited to be a mom. She’s loving all the changes to her body during pregnancy and has always celebrated pregnant women in her runway shows for Fenty.”
