As you know, Vince Staples recently released what is most certainly one of the best albums of 2015 — his bold debut (and a double album, to boot) Summertime '06. The album marks the exciting arrival of a fully developed voice with a compelling perspective — one honed on the 2014 EP Hell Can Wait and a slew of mixtapes.

Staples continued his winning streak with a recent appearance on Tim Westwood's show, hopping on a classic Kanye West beat from The College Dropout. "Get 'Em High" is a notoriously difficult freestyling base, marking one of West's more daring production entries. However, Staples seems relatively comfortable with the track's complexities — offering some impromptu wisdom tucked neatly into a three-minute running time.
