A passenger bus said to be a part of Trippie Redd’s road crew for his ongoing Tripp at Knight Tour was reportedly shot at following a show in Baltimore, Maryland.
Per a local report from David Collins for WBAL-TV, the bus in question had “just left” the MECU Pavilion to head to the airport. Ten members of “the concert support crew” were allegedly on the bus at the time. Reportedly, none of them were injured in the incident that occurred early Tuesday morning.
A news release from the Maryland State Police, meanwhile, does not mention Trippie Redd by name. Police, however, did say that a tour bus “traveling on MD 295 in the area of I-95” was shot at by a passing motorist. Police also said the bus driver, who has not been publicly identified, was injured in the shooting and “immediately transported to the hospital.”
Troopers also took statements from the bus passengers. As of earlier this week, an investigation into the shooting remains ongoing. Elena Russo, a spokesperson for Maryland State Police, said a portion of the investigation will focus on determining “whether this was a targeted incident or not.”
Complex has reached out to a rep for Trippie Redd, as well as Maryland State Police, for additional comment.
The Tripp at Knight Tour kicked off with his Rolling Loud Miami set back in July and is set to run through early October. Enlisted by Trippie as support for the multi-month haul are Iann Dior and SoFaygo. The final stop on the routing, at the time of this writing, is set to be the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California.
