Tory Lanez estimates that it'll take approximately 10 seconds to bag platinum status with his upcoming Quavo and Tyga collab.

Billing the track as a "summer anthem" late Monday, Lanez posted a smiling Instagram photo, complete with a caption crediting that smile to the collab. The track, tentatively titled "Broke Leg," features Quavo and Tyga and—per Lanez—"is going platinum in the first 10 seconds."

The 10-second promise aside, Lanez's characterization of the upcoming collab—due May 31—as a "summer anthem" is likely to prove true. After all, Tyga has arguably spent the past year penning summer anthem contender after summer anthem contender, most recently with "Light It Up" featuring Marshmello and Chris Brown.

Lanez looked ahead to his Chixtape 5 project in an April interview with Complex, noting that it's indeed dropping soon.

"I think a lot of times, and what I want to explain to my fans is that maybe a lot of times I announce things too soon, and I announce things during the working process because I too am a fan of the music, and so I announce things because I'm excited about it," Lanez explained.
