Scooter Braun, following his first public comments on Taylor Swift's ongoing Big Machine disagreement, has now shared a letter to the Lover Grammy nominee about the alleged threats he says he's received since their disagreement first hit the headlines.

"Since your public statement last week there have been numerous death threats directed at my family," Braun said via Instagram. "This morning I spoke out publicly for the first time saying I wouldn't participate in a social media war. However I came home tonight to find my wife had received a phone call threatening the safety of our children as well as other threats seen above . . . I am certain there is no situation ever worth jeopardizing anyone's safety."

Braun added that while he believes "this was not your intention," he feels it is "important that you understand that your words carry at tremendous amount of weight." The record executive also criticized Swift for staying silent following a notification from an attorney regarding these "ongoing threats" four days ago.

"At this point with safety becoming a concern I have no choice other than to publicly ask for us to come together and try to find a resolution," he said. "I have tried repeatedly through your representatives to achieve a solution but unfortunately here we are. This game of telephone isn't working."

This all began when, following word that Big Machine had been acquired by Braun's company, Swift shared a Tumblr letter in which she said she first heard of the news when it was announced to the world. "When I left my masters in [Scott Borchetta's] hands, I made peace with the fact that eventually he would sell them," she said in June. "Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine the buyer would be Scooter."

Earlier this month, Swift said that Borchetta and Braun were blocking her from performing a medley that included Big Machine era songs at the American Music Awards. Big Machine later disputed this.
