Post Malone loves grapes.
In fact, as Sunday night proved to the portion of the planet that was tuned in to American Music Awards proceedings, Post Malone loves grapes enough to thank them while accepting one of the night's televised distinctions.
Indeed, after a cowboy hat-assisted slow walk of celebration to the stage with beer understandably in hand, the Hollywood's Bleeding artist gave grapes their rightful time in the spotlight at the end of his otherwise routine acceptance speech.
"Thank you very, very, very, very, very much," Malone told the audience at Sunday night's ceremony when accepting the award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album. "I'm not too good at talking in front of people but I just wanna say thank you so much to everybody who showed love and support. And honestly, words cannot express how grateful and thankful I am for everything that y'all have shown me. I just wanna say thank you to everybody on the camp and on the team and thank you for all the fans for showing love and support. We busted our ass for it so, you know, it feels good to walk away and, uh, we love you very much and I love grapes. So, thank you so much."
As expected, the "I love grapes" section of this Sunday evening highlight quickly inspired some enjoyable confusion and general riffing among viewers and/or people who only saw the grapes appreciation via context-free tweeted clips.
