The New York Police Department has reportedly claimed they have "enough evidence" to arrest Quavo for his alleged altercation with Eric the Jeweler.

Detectives reportedly reached out to Quavo's attorney Drew Findling to inform him of this development, TMZ (who else?) reported early Friday. "This is yet another example of a young African-American hip hop star potentially being treated unfairly by the criminal justice system," Findling toldTMZ.

As previously reported, the incident in question is alleged to have occurred at a Grammys afterparty at 1Oak in New York. Eric also said he had a $30,000 chain lifted from him during the alleged encounter. In a statement at the time, NYPD Detective Sophia Mason confirmed the robbery complaint. "The 25-year-old male complainant reported he was assaulted by a member of a musical group (Quavious Marshall) and suffered a swollen right eye," Mason said last week. "He also stated that his necklace was taken during the incident."

When asked about the TMZ report Friday, an NYPD rep said only that "no arrests have been made" and that an investigation remains ongoing. Findling did not immediately respond to Complex's request for comment.

This latest development arrives during a particularly busy time for Quavo. While Migos have been busy smashing chart records with their 24-track opus Culture II, Quavo has made generous contributions to recent solo cuts from Sfera Ebbasta, LIVVIA, and Iggy Azalea. "Savior," according to Azalea, is about "being your own savior and finding your own strength within yourself."
