Freddie Gibbs, fresh off dropping his Kenny Beats-produced “Ice Cream” collab with Rick Ross, has offered a succinct response to a fan’s feud-focused speculation.
On Tuesday, a Twitter user joked about the Soul Sold Separately artist seemingly ending up in a new beef “every month” and said (with the assistance of emoji) “I’m starting to think it’s you bruh.”
Gibbs was quick to respond, albeit briefly.
“Yep it is me and I don’t give a fuck,” he said.
In March, Gibbs quoted the “I can’t fuck with Freddie Gibbs” line from Gunna’s “Poochie Gown” in a tweet. Minutes later, Gibbs shared a clip of himself listening to the song, then another clip in which he was seen dancing to the DS4EVER track at a show. “My theme song,” he declared when sharing the latter.
That same month, Gibbs trolled Benny the Butcher over his unreleased Drake collaboration in response to a claim from the Tana Talk 4 artist of him having “begged” to work on an album together.
Soul Sold Separately is now expected to arrive this summer, with Gibbs himself stating during a recent Bill Simmons interview that a release is set for June. Last July, Gibbs spoke with Complex about the album, as well as his Down With the King casting. Revisit that here.
