DJ Khaled is now an ambassador for the Ryder Cup golf competition.
As announced Monday, Khaled’s new role comes as part of a larger consultancy partnership between Roc Nation Sports International and the Ryder Cup ahead of the 44th edition of the competition this September.
“Let’s go golfing!” Khaled said in a statement. “I’m super excited to be partnering with the Ryder Cup. I’ve been getting into my golf a lot more recently; it’s become a passion of mine. We’re about to take it up a gear. Believe that!”
Per a press release, Khaled’s ambassadorship will see the blockbuster artist bridging “the gap between golf, music, and entertainment.”
The news comes after Khaled's announcement earlier this month that his We the Best Foundation is set to host the first-ever Golf Classic event in Miami in July.
“We’re starting something very special here while introducing the sport of golf to a wider community,” Khaled said at the time.
