Yung Miami interviewed G Herbo for the latest episode of Caresha Please, and some interesting revelations came to light about his relationship with ex Ari Fletcher.
At around the 18:20 minute mark, Miami flat out asks Herbo if he’s a “cheater,” to which he responds, “Am I a cheater? Naw, I wouldn’t say I’m a cheater. I’ve cheated though.”
She then asks if he cheated on Ari with his current fiancée, Taina Williams.
“Technically, yeah,” he said. “I was young and I was dumb. I didn’t know no better. I was just doing shit. … I was just cheating. I ain’t gonna say I was just cheating but it’s like me and Ari was in a space—and I done talk to her about this already, I done already said my bid, my peace, and apologized. We was at a space, like I said, mentally like I be going through shit and I gotta like separate myself from shit. Me and her was having our differences but that was no excuse to cheat on her. That’s not why I cheated on her.”
Miami then pointed out that Herbo cheated on Ari when she was going through postpartum depression after the birth of the former couple’s son, Yosohn.
“That shit real. I ain’t know—I was naive to that though,” Herbo explained. “I ain’t never been around a woman who was like suffering from postpartum depression and none of that. And at the same time, when she was going through that, I had just lost like one of my best friends. I lost my homie C Money so I was like super stressed and shit.”
He continued, “I ain’t make no excuse. I had to make peace with myself early on ‘cause I thought I was right back then. … We was at a space where we like wasn’t communicating like that, wasn’t having sex. I wasn’t coming home, I’m sleeping in the studio every night. So in my brain I’m like, ‘Aight, I ain’t cheating ‘cause I ain’t having sex with her and going having sex with somebody else.’ In actuality, I was though.”
Ari and Herbo share one son together, four-year-old Yosohn. The pair ended their relationship soon after he was born, and the rapper reportedly started dating Taina Williams in 2019. Herbo and Williams share two children together: Essex, who was born in 2021, and Emmy who was born earlier this year.
