Robber Sneaks Into Rihanna's House, Gets Tased by Cops After Spending the Night

A man who broke into Rihanna's L.A. home after the alarm system had been tampered with was caught and tased by police. Rihanna wasn't even home.

According to TMZ, a man who trespassed onto Rihanna’s property—and allegedly stayed the night—was tased and arrested by police on Thursday morning, after the alarm company notified authorities RiRi’s system might have been tampered with. Fortunately, the singer recently flew to New York to attend the Met Gala, presumably the reason she wasn’t home that night.

When officers arrived at the scene, they encountered a man who seemed to have stayed on Rihanna’s property overnight. If that isn’t creepy enough, the dude didn’t seem to understand why police officers had to arrest him for doing so—leading to the unfortunate tasing. While he was having a pretty rough week, Rihanna was busy impressing Met Gala attendees and hanging with Migos.

While it’s unclear if anything inside the home or on the property was damaged or meddled with, it appears that the incident is wrapped up and Rihanna can safely return home. Meanwhile, the eager unwelcome sleepover guest will be charged with residential burglary—a punishment that literally fits the crime. Surely, Rihanna would prefer the man in question would unfollow her in real life, as Drake did on Instagram this week.
