While on a promo run for his upcoming album Oxnard, Anderson .Paak stopped by the Angie Martinez Show to discuss his upcoming release.

The artist talked about some of the features on his sophomore effort, and it's looking pretty tough. In addition to fellow Cali natives Snoop DoggDr. Dre, and Kendrick Lamar (whose vocals show up on "Tints"), .Paak lists Pusha T, J. Cole, and Q-Tip as people who will appear on the project.

Surprisingly missing from this list of heavy hitters is Chance the Rapper. In addition to collaborating on "Blessings" (a song that appeared on Chance's Grammy-winning Coloring Book), the two artists have also teased a collaboration that has yet to surface. At around 24:04 in the video, .Paak confirms that Chance will not be on Oxnard but when asked about the lack of a Chano feature, .Paak states "he wasn't on this, but we got a bunch of stuff that we've worked on." Despite this absence, it seems that he is hopeful for the collaborations to see the light, as he added "it might be on his next stuff."

Around the 7:48 mark of the interview, .Paak details the creation of his song with J. Cole. While the former was opening on the latter's 4 Your Eyez Only World Tour, Cole approached the singer after hearing a record that Dre let him listen to. The Dreamville superstar then expressed his desire to hop on the track, to which .Paak agreed. "It was unfinished, so I needed something. He was in town when I was working on it— I was wrapping it up. And I was like, 'if you around, pull up.' And he pulled right up.

Expect Oxnard on Nov. 16.
