For a new episode of Golf Radio, Tyler, the Creator goes by his alternate pseudonym, DJ Stankdaddy, in an interview with Vince Staples. Tyler brings up some startling revelations in regards to his 2011 hit, "Yonkers." The popular track garnered much support and its video was hailed by Kanye West as "the video of 2011."

In the clip above, Tyler downplays the hit, saying it was a joke and, "I made that beat in literally eight minutes." He takes a jab at New York rap by saying, "That beat was made as a joke. I was trying to make a shitty New York beat and we was just rapping like we was from New York like we were retarded."

Tyler's sense of humor has always been a bit off-beat, so it's hard to tell if he really means to be as insulting as he sounds. If you're interested in the rest of the interview, you can subscribe to Golf Media.
