This weekā€™sĀ Verzuz battle is a gift that keeps on giving.

Days afterĀ DipsetĀ andĀ The LOXĀ went head-to-head at Madison Square Garden,Ā Fat JoeĀ treated fans to an extensiveĀ recap of everything that went down. And fans absolutely loved it.

Joe, who said he was ā€œat the scene of the crime,ā€ said he had to attend Tuesday nightā€™s battle because he didnā€™t want to miss another historical event. The Bronx rapper then explained his outfit choice for the affair, saying it called for luxury clothing and tons of ā€œblindingā€ ice.

ā€œYou can never run away from history. You have to attend these places ā€¦,ā€ he said. ā€œI had to go with the HermĆØs. I couldā€™ve worn a black tee. I couldā€™ve worn this, but I had to go with HermĆØs. I had to go with so much diamonds that would blind the average person. Why? Because I knew this was history.ā€

Joey Crack went on to speak about the star-studded guest list, feeling a sense of ā€œdangerā€ in the air, and how he took COVID-19 precautions while in the audienceā€”specifically his decision to wear a mask, which he couldnā€™t decide to keep on or off as the battle became increasingly hype.

Fat Joe recalled the excitement he felt when The LOXā€™s Jadakiss played ā€œNew York,ā€ featuring Fat Joe and Ja Rule.

ā€œIā€™m sitting there adjusting my mask, [and]Ā just when I thought it couldnā€™t get better, Jadakiss comes on and goes, ā€˜Hey Harlem, Iā€™m really outside, you know me, itā€™s Jada.ā€™ Boom. Boom. Boom,ā€ he said. ā€œThe place went nuts. I lose my mind. Iā€™m going fucking apeshit crazy. I canā€™t control the passion. Now I was neutral,Ā but when the shit come on that Iā€™m on, I fucking lose it. I almost pulled a Lil Mama and rang up on the ring. I wanted the smoke at that point. I wanted the smoke! When they dropped the shit, half the audience looked at me.ā€

Another amusing moment during theĀ stream was when Fat Joe spoke about the events after the battle.

ā€œThe shit was so real yesterday, so thugged out, so New Nork, do you know where I went to eat dinner after the battle?ā€ he said.Ā ā€œTake a guess? I went to White Castles [sic]. If you from New York, you know where I went ā€¦Ā Couple double cheese, couple onion rings, clam strips. I havenā€™t been to fuckinā€™ White Castle in eight years. I just wanted to live this shit all the way the fuck out.ā€

Fat Joeā€™s recap of Verzuz is so damn good.

It made me think how a lot of non-actors have incredible range and great directors are able to somehow create contexts for non-actors to showcase it.

As Fat Joe was talking, I kept seeing flashes of the great, Jon Polito. pic.twitter.com/Dsk1hVXLqg

Fat Joe might be able to give Jamie Foxx a run for his money when it comes to storytelling. https://t.co/TaHUncznY6
