Back in October, Kehlani shared the news of her pregnancy on social media. "I’m so so so happy," she wrote. "The highest blessing one could receive. I love you already, mama. 4 months & so grateful." In her Instagram post, which has since been deleted, she spoke openly about dreaming of being a mother since a very young age.

"If you know me, you know i’ve dreamt about motherhood since i was very young," she wrote. "When asked what my goals are, it’s always the idea of a big healthy happy family & whatever comes along is a plus."

At the time of the announcement, Kehlani kept the identity of the father under wraps, but described him as her "best friend and quite frankly the only man on Earth I trust." The following week, she revealed in an interview on Nicki Minaj's Beats 1 show Queen Radio that her mysterious partner was her guitarist, Javie Young-White.
