NBC really came through by enlisting Drake for this week's Saturday Night Live, and a new promo clip for the impending appearance has us even more hyped. Drake and SNL cast member Leslie Jones take up a spot outside a church in New York where Jones hilariously messes with Drake. She can't resist putting her hand on his butt, and then suggests an idea for a skit where she spanks him like a baby.
He will be pulling double duty as both the show's host and musical guest on SNL this Saturday, but it shouldn't phase him too much as he's held down both responsibilities before. Back in 2014, Drake completely nailed his hosting duties, taking on the roles like Alex Rodriguez and Lil Wayne and delivering a perfect reenactment of his Bar Mitzvah. He also impressed during his musical performance that included a medley of "Started From the Bottom," "Trophies" along with a collaboration with Jhené Aiko.
Drake is having one of the biggest weeks in music following the release of his album, VIEWS. He earned the top album on the Billboard 200 and later scored his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "One Dance" featuring Kyla and Wizkid. He also dominated streaming by setting a new record of over 251 million streams in the first week of an album release.
In July, he will head out on the road with Future for the Summer Sixteen Tour. On top of that, Drake has already confirmed he will be releasing even more music this year and was in the studio with French Montana earlier this week. What a time. Watch the promo above and catch Drake on SNL May 14.
