Just over a month after the release of their fifth album, Beach House have already announced plans for a follow-up, and it's due out next week. The duo of Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally shared the news on Twitter today. The album, called Thank Your Lucky Stars, will be released on October 16th both digitally and on vinyl. The group offered a caveat that the new record shouldn't be construed as a "companion" to their just-released and quickly critically acclaimed Depression Cherry album, and offered that they "only wanted to release a record in a new way after doing it one way for so long."
While the week of warning does mean Thank Your Lucky Stars isn't quite a "surprise" album, this is definitely some unexpectedly great news. Check out the album artwork above.
