Six years and change since East London-born KwolleM emerged with his game-changing EP, Mellow, the enigmatic producer is back with his debut album, Melo.

The 11-track LP lands after a three-year hiatus—since the release of the c2c project—and it’s a monumental return for the beatsmith, who is also closely connected to the fashion world with his modelling, design work and creative directing. Updating us on where he’s been since, KwolleM touches on fatherhood and all that it entails as well as his hopes and plans for the future.

Roping in an impressive cast of artists to help him on Melo, including Unknown T, SL, Novelist, AJ Tracey, Tinchy Stryder, Joe James, Bawo, Ashbeck, Slawn, dexter in the newsagent, Mover, Tommy Genesis, Ghostpoet, DC, BXKS, Rayf, and even an appearance from his daughter, this project is as LDN as gets.

Extending his mellow touch to grime, drill, R&B, drum and bass, and garage, Melo is a triumphant return to the game and one of his most ambitious works yet. Let’s hope he’s here to stay.
