The rapper took to Twitter to announce that jelly belongs on otherwise savory sandwiches, which somehow started a heated debate.

On Thursday morning, Wale published a highly polarizing tweet about jam, otherwise known as jelly or fruit preserves, and whether it deserves to be added to otherwise savory sandwiches.

I don’t know who needs to hear this , but jelly 100 percent belongs on a TurkeyBaconEggNCheese Sandwich.

"I don't know who needs to hear this," he wrote. "But jelly 100 percent belongs on TurkeyBaconEggNCheese Sandwich." Unbeknownst to the rapper prior to publication, many Twitter users then began debating the topic in the comments section, which some people got weirdly offended by.

Wale then doubled down on his previous declaration by responding to a user who asked him what flavor jelly, to which he replied "Skrawwwbury."

Grotesque

The rapper was clearly entertained by the enthusiasm, which he displayed in the slew of fan comments he responded to.

Outside of his preserves-related passions, Wale hosted his annual WaleMania earlier this month in New York. The Grammy-nominated rapper joined forces with former WWE writer Court Bauer five years ago to bring together the worlds of entertainment and professional wrestling. This past year was no different, which Wale exhibited by bringing Smoke DZA and Flatbush Zombies to the stage during the celebration.
