Rising producer Andrew Luce is putting out a new EP called LANTERNS on June 7 via Fool's Gold Records, and today he's dropped off the project's second single, "AH AH." Featuring guest vocals from Smokepurpp and Teddy, the song is a buoyant Auto-Tune-soaked cut, grounded by Luce's hard-hitting production.

"I’ve been listening to Smokepurpp’s music for a long minute off SoundCloud and started trying to produce for him sometime early last year, reaching out and sending his management," Luce tells Complex. "I started chatting with someone on his team at one point, but it never really got anywhere. One night in July I was just alone at my place working and noticed that his Twitter DMs were open so I hit him directly and he replied in just a couple seconds saying he was in the studio ready to record. We FaceTimed back and forth about a hundred times and ended up finishing his part of the record somewhere around 5-6 a.m."

Luce says he thought Purpp and Teddy would be the perfect collaborators on a song that he wanted to be "a rap tune that had a really raging punk rock vibe to it."

"I met Teddy through a friend of mine that I used to throw shows with in high school, and he was really into the record," Luce adds. "I sent him the instrumental for it and he sent his verse back in just an hour or two, and that was it."

You can hear "AH AH" below and head over to Andrew Luce's SoundCloud for more from the Los Angeles producer.
