Powers Pleasant is next out of the Pro Era crew to step into the spotlight.
As a founder member, Powers Pleasant has played a significant role within Pro Era, including working on multiple projects throughout the years and also co-producing Joey Badass’ platinum single “Devastated” alongside Kirk Knight and 1-900 a.k.a. Adam Pallin. Recently, he served as the main producer behind Beast Coast’s Escape From New Yorkalbum and produced BTS’ “All Night” featuring Juice WRLD.
He has been ready to break out as a solo artist for quite some time, dropping his first taste of the Powers Pleasant brand with The Powers Pleasant Experiencein 2015, which included features from The Underachievers and Alex Phoenix.
For Life Is Beautiful, Powers Pleasant proves he can roll with some heavy hitters in the game.
“Its the first doors opened to my crazy mind,” he said of the project to Uproxx. “There’s some really dope artists on it that I’ve worked with, dope sounds so people will really get the first taste of what I’m all about. I’m excited.”
On the project, he enlists Joey Badass, Zillakami, Denzel Curry, IDK, ASAP Ferg, G Perico, Buddy, Jay Critch, AKTHE, and The Underachievers. His Pro Era brothers Kirk Knight, CJ Fly, and Aaron Rose also appear on several tracks.
Sway Calloway starts Life Is Beautiful off with a few words: “Life is beautiful, it’s amazing. Get up a smell the roses while you still can. The good, the bad ones. The happy. The sad ones. There’s beauty in all. As long as you’re breathing, you’re blessed. If anybody got a problem with that, then go out and stunt on these haters!”
