OVO Sound Radio just premiered the remix of Drake’s “Wu-Tang Forever" featuring A$AP Rocky.
The track first appeared on Drizzy's Nothing Was The Same, and its remix was highly anticipated in hip-hop because it featured the Wu-Tang Clan. After 2013, more details came from Wu-Tang members Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and U-God that hinted at its arrival. But the 6 God also received backlash from Wu-Tang fans who felt the song disrespected the Staten Island crew, as well as Inspectah Deck who denied his involvement in the remix.
A$AP Rocky and Drake were seen shooting a video for the "Wu-Tang Forever" remix in Harlem, which add speculation that the song would come out. Drake later confirmed in an interview with Vulture last year that conflicting schedules halted its progress.
Oh, man, that’s kind of behind us. That was two projects ago. There was a remix that 40 [Noah Shebib] was working on. He has a really personal relationship with a lot of those guys from Wu-Tang, and me and Rocky were working on a video at one point in Harlem, and it was cool, but with schedules and all that, different things came into play and we never really got to finish, which is not something I recommend. You should always try and finish your music video.
At least fans get to hear Rocky's verse. Listen to it below.
