Smokepurpp is set to headline the next installment of the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour. The five-week trek will hit 28 cities, starting with the Social in Orlando, Florida on April 19, and ending at the House of Blues in Houston, Texas on May 24.

In previous years, the Monster Tour has selected headlining acts who were on the verge of major stardom, including Logic, Post Malone, and 21 Savage. This year will be the tour's eighth year running.

Steve Glazer, founder of the tour, told Complex via email: “As with past Outbreak headliners, we continuously strive to showcase not only emerging artists coming into their own, but artists that display that rare ability to reshape pop culture through music. This year will be no exception as we're thrilled to announce Smokepurpp, one of the most talented and exciting upstarts in the game, as our headliner.”

When asked about going on the Monster Tour, Smokepurpp said, “This past year has been LIT! I’m excited to hit every stage in every city and connect with my fans. After those crowds get to see me live the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour will never be the same again! ESKEEETITT!”

Like his Monster Tour predecessors, Smokepurpp is on the verge of major success. In September, the Florida native announced that he signed to Travis Scott's Cactus Records imprint, and then in December, Lil Purpp earned his first gold plaque for his Deadstar album cut “Audi.” He also just released his latest Murda Beatz-crafted song “123,” the first single from the their forthcoming tape Bless Yo Trap.

Tickets for the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour go on sale March 9 at 10 a.m. local time here.
