Schoolboy Q clearly has something against nerds.
In the trailer for a new interview with Charlamagne Tha God, Q opens up about CrasH Talk, his newborn daughter, mental health, and the loss of his friend, Mac Miller.
While Charlamagne's narration makes it a little difficult to hear what Q says, one sentence does come through pretty clearly: “Fuck the reviews, bruh. These are nerds reviewing your shit.”
He previously touched on nerds—Same nerds? Different nerds?—in an interview with Vulture. “It’s like little nerd dweebs [...] They hate every single I drop. I don’t get it. Whatever, the shit always crack. Every fucking single I drop goes platinum. I’m just trying to figure it out. What do you n***as really hate? Stop listening to it if you hate it.”
Prior to CrasH Talk, the last album Q dropped was 2016’s Blank Face, which included the Kanye West featuring-song “THat Part.” “Fuck these little internet dweebs,” Q told Vulture. “I remember them saying I flopped with ‘That Part,’ and that shit went quadruple-platinum."
Schoolboy Q’s full interview with Charlamagne Tha God drops on Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET.
Until then, watch the trailer above.
