There’s been tension between Rich The Kid and Lil Uzi Vert for the past few weeks, and it seems like the feud has culminated in a new diss track by Rich. The Atlanta rapper previewed the song on Instagram Live on Tuesday, targeting Uzi. On the song, Rich raps, “Your money getting shorter,” an obvious jab at Uzi and his 2016 breakout song “Money Longer.”

The conflict stems from January, when Uzi and Rich had a slight disagreement on Twitter. After Uzi tweeted, “And if y’all do sign...sign 2 a major Don't sign 2 a rapper or a DJ...It's Just Easier When The Time Come For That Fake Shit,” followed by an eye roll, 100, and trademark emojis, many speculated that it was a dig at DJ Drama, whom Uzi is currently signed to.

Rich responded to Uzi’s tweet, writing, “That’s why you SHOULDA signed Rich forever,” accompanied by a handful of handwriting and crying emojis. Uzi fired back, saying, “Boy I’m not signing for 20racks,” with a bat emoji. It’s highly likely that Rich wasn’t too pleased with the interaction.

He became more upset when, on Monday, via Instagram, Uzi debuted his new green dreadlocks while holding a reportedly $1,000 crab. Later, he posted another photo while holding the crab, except this time, he tagged the crab with Rich’s Instagram handle. When Rich learned about the diss, he reposted Uzi’s first photo with the crab and commented, “Aw look at my son @liluzivert tryna look just like me,” with a smiling emoji.

Earlier this month, in an interview with HotNewHipHop, Rich The Kid spoke on why he wouldn’t sign Uzi. Rich told HNHH, “Maybe I would sign [Uzi] on my business, but for personal reasons I wouldn't sign him.”
