Does Young Thug ever leave the studio?
Less than a month after he released his Beautiful Thugger Girls album, the Atlanta rapper is rumored to have not one, but two more projects on the way. Speculation began just last week when producer Wheezy shared a photo of Thugger in the studio with a caption that simply read, “BARTER 7.”
The Instagram post immediately led fans to believe Thug was working on the follow-up to his 2015 mixtape Barter 6, which was mostly produced by his frequent collaborator Wheezy. Though there’s no indication as to when the tape will drop, Thug did hint at a release date for another mysterious release.
On Saturday, he shared an Instagram photo of himself and his fiancée Jerrika Karlae. He captioned the image, “Her mixtape this week.”
What is Thug referring to? We know Beautiful Thugger Girls was dedicated to Karlae, but does this post mean he’ll deliver another project inspired by his wife-to-be? Or could Karlae be entering the music game with her debut tape? Or is Thugger just trolling us? We'll have our answer later this week—hopefully.
