Young Thug’s former manager just secured a hefty check.
According to TMZ, Imani Media Group founder Manny Halley will receive seven figure settlement from Thugger’s financial team David Weise & Associates. Halley—who has repped megastars like Nicki Minaj and Keyshia Cole—filed a lawsuit against the business management firm in 2017, after they accused him of spending $200,000 on unauthorized purchases. The accusations became public after several outlets published an accusatory email sent from the firm to Halley. It read in part:
Halley denied the allegations and insisted the money went toward the private jets Thug used while on tour. He also claimed David Weise was trying to defame his character after he criticized the firm for they way they handled the rapper’s money.
According to a recent press release, Halley and Weise came to an amicable agreement this month after concluding “there was no criminal conduct” on Halley’s part. The parties stated the situation was simply a misunderstanding.
