UPDATED 10/20, 10:15 a.m. ET: Joe Rogan took to Instagram to announce that his crew is shutting down their podcast operation for the week after his produer tested positive for COVID-19.

“All podcasts are cancelled this week Young @jamievernon tested positive for COVID-19. I tested negative, and the rest of the staff tested negative but we’re shutting everything down until we get an all clear from our doctor," Rogan wrote. "I was out of town last week and the shows that aired had all been previously recorded, so I haven’t had any contact with Jamie in the past 9 days except for briefly today, but I’m staying away from everyone and being tested every day until I know I’m in the clear. I’ll keep you folks posted as to when the show will resume.”

There's no word yet on when the Kanye pod will be rescheduled.

It appears Kanye West got his wish.

On Saturday, the rapper/designer/presidential candidate took to Twitter to announce his upcoming appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience. Kanye shared a screenshot of his FaceTime call with the titular podcast host, along with a little teaser of what audiences can expect: "Joe Rogan said it’s cool for me to design the set for our podcast this Friday," he wrote.

The announcement comes just days after Kanye publicly reached out to Rogan on Twitter, requesting a live appearance on the wildly popular podcast.

"Would love to go on Joe Rogan’s podcast LIVE this week I have my team trying to get your number Joe I’m in Calabassas Let’s do this my friend," he captioned a months-old clip of Rogan discussing his "intense" phone call with Kanye.
