Kanye's 'SNL' Set Will Reportedly Include Appearances by Lil Pump, Kid Cudi, and More

Sources say Kanye has tapped Spike Jonze as well as a handful of guest artists to assist his upcoming 'Saturday Night Live' performance.

Saturday Night Live’s upcoming season premiere is going to be insane—or so we hear.

This weekend, Kanye West will return to the SNL stage as the musical guest. And, according to TMZ, he’s bringing along a handful of other performers.

Source say the multihyphenate will be joined by Lil Pump, Kid Cudi, Teyana Taylor, and 070 Shake, all of whom have collaborated with ‘Ye in the past. It’s unclear if Kanye will perform a medley of hits, or if he’ll share new tunes from Yandhi, which is set to drop Saturday night.

Spike Jonze was also reportedly tapped to assist the creative direction of the upcoming performances; and judging by his work on Kanye and Pump’s “I Love It” video, we’re expecting something unconventional.

SNL’s season 44 premiere goes down this Saturday, with host Adam Driver.

In the day’s leading up to the broadcast, series creator Lorne Michaels revealed Kanye wasn’t the show’s first choice. Michaels claimed Ariana Grande was originally set to perform on the season premiere, but backed out earlier this month.

“We had Ariana drop out for emotional reasons two days ago,” he said in a podcast interview with James Andrew Miller “That’s our premiere, and then Kanye stepped up, and he’ll be there.”
