T.I. is back in a big way with his smooth new single "Dope." The track is produced by Dr. Dre and features Marsha Ambrosius. Dre builds the song around a dynamic sample of Aaliyah's2001 hit song "Rock the Boat," and T.I. fills it with odes to high living and warnings about its unintended consequences. "Feel like I'm on dope/High as a motherfucker/Boy you get me high/Baby we can coast/Boy you get me high," Ambrosius sings on the chorus.

The music video for "Dope" feature cameos from Killer Mike, Big Sean, Travis Scott, DJ Drama, and Nelly. It's set in the year 2020 in Los Angeles, and features Tip hitting the club and romancing some fine women. In another scene, he reclines against a tricked out car.

"Dope" serves as the official lead single from T.I.'s upcoming tenth album Dime Trap. The project will be released through T.I.'s label Grand Hustle and distributed through Roc Nation, but it does not have an official release date yet. T.I. recently became the latest artist-owner of Jay Z-backed streaming service Tidal, but he also revealed that Dime Trap would not be a Tidal exclusive.

The album follows the release of April's Bankroll Mafia, a posse album featuring T.I., Young Thug, Shad Da God, Duke, and London Jae. That project spawned the single "Bankrolls on Deck" and also boasted features from Lil Yachty, Peewee Roscoe, Migos, and more.
