Atlanta residents mourned the loss of their native song Bankroll Fresh tonight with a candlelight vigil in his memory outside the Blue Ivory club near Downtown. 2 Chainz sent out a heartfelt Instagram post about the event, urging everyone in the Atlanta area to go pay their respects to Fresh's life and legacy.

The 28-year old rapper was shot and killed this weekend in a tragic incident outside the Street Execs studio in Atlanta. Police recovered as many as 50 shell casings at the scene, but have yet to identify a suspect or motive. Fresh was considered a buzzing rapper out of the Georgia capital right on the cusp of major success. His 2014 mixtape Life of a Hot Boy and it's song "Hot Boy" had received major media attention. 2 Chainz had even taken the rapper under his wing, and Fresh became affiliated with his Street Execs management company.
