Just three months after the release of her debut album, Nightmare Vacation, Rico Nasty has returned with a new visual for her latest single, “Pu$$y Poppin.”
The playful video is equal parts raunchy and comedic, as Rico teases a male lover while dressed up as a human valentine and a giant penis.
“Pu$$y Poppin” is the latest single from Nightmare Vacation, which also featured outlandish videos for “iPhone,” “Own It,” “OHFR?,” and “STFU.”
Released at the tail end of 2020, the DMV rapper’s debut album was written and recorded during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. During a conversation with Zane Lowe last December, Rico explained the creative struggle she faced while crafting the project.
“That’s why I named it Nightmare Vacation because all the shit that I was scared of at one point, scared to do and scared to say, it just became my second nature,” Rico told Lowe. “I want to say that shit. I don’t care if I hurt somebody’s feelings. I’m going to wear it. I don’t care if I get dirty looks … Nightmare Vacation is really just about being yourself, your truest self, going through things that people tell you you can’t get out of and getting out of them, coming out a rockstar.”
