Lola Brooke, the Bed-Stuy native who appeared on Complex’s New Rappers to Watch in 2023 list, returns with her new song “So Disrespectful.”
“So Disrespectful” follows Lola’s previously released tracks “Gator Season,” “Here I Come,” and “Don’t Play With It,” the last of which catapulted Brooke into the mainstream, amassing nearly 80 million streams to date while appearing on playlists such as Apple Music’s Rap Life and Spotify’s Rap Caviar.
The track, produced by Reefa Music and Gyard, sees Lola warning rivals to prepare for her come up. “Hopped out the Nissan switched it to the bat/If I take your n***a he ain’t ever coming back,” she raps on the hook.
Fresh off wrapping the North American leg as an opening act on A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s Me v. Myself Tour, Lola is scheduled to perform next weekend (March 16) at SXSW on Billboard’s The Stage at SXSW.
