Federal authorities have arrested several individuals connected to EST Gee’s company Everybody Shine Together Entertainment for alleged drug trafficking and weapons offenses.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 10 people including Ricos Mosley and Eric Mosley, the latter of whom identifies himself as EST Gee’s manager, have been charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute as well as distribution of controlled substances.
Ricos and Eric Mosley have also been charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. If convicted, the Mosleys could face a minimum of 15 years and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Alongside Ricos and Eric Mosley, authorites have arrested Louisville natives Zaman Taylor (21), Khasi Jones (28), Devonzo Summers (24), Barry Reed (20), Cedric Palmer (25), Aerion Cook (21), Dazaray Rice (27), and Darrian Toogood (24), all of whom are also affiliated with the alleged gang EST.
Search warrants in connection with the investigation resulted in the seizure of cocaine, methamphetamine, multiple firearms, a stolen vehicle, and over $160,000 in cash.
“The gang members arrested last week have terrorized our communities for far too long, but they will be held accountable for their actions,” FBI Louisville Special Agent in Charge Jodi Cohen said in a statement. “To those gang members who continue to operate with a blatant disregard for your fellow citizens, know that we are working tirelessly to identify, investigate, and apprehend you and your associates.”
Local outlet Wave 3 News says the bust is part of the federal initiative Project Safe Neighborhoods, which “aims to take out the most violent criminal enterprises in Louisville.”
