On the music side of things, Cardi recentlyย defeated Tasha K, real nameย Latasha Kebe, in herย defamation trialย back in January. Earlier this month, she filedย a permanent injunction against the vlogger, withย Billboardย reportingย the Bronx rapper requested Tasha K be banned from posting โ€œharmful and disgusting lies.โ€ย Cardi and her lawyers argued that the courtโ€™s defamation verdict provedย to be โ€œinadequateโ€ and further action needed to be taken.ย

โ€œPlaintiff filed this action because defendants refused to stop targeting her with harmful and disgusting lies,โ€ Cardiโ€™s legal team said in court docs. โ€œDamages alone are inadequate to address the constant ongoing threat of defendants repeating the defamatory statements [and] defendants have explicitly said that they will continue publishing the defamatory statements unless an injunction is issued.โ€
