Rising Atlanta rapper Lil Baby has had a really great year, capping it off with his fantastic collaborative album with GunnaDrip Harder. The Drake and Young Thug-approved artist has appeared everywhere in 2018, and for good reason. Now he's on something of a victory lap, and recently he took a moment to celebrate all his success by revisiting the Tay Keith-produced Drip Harder highlight "Never Recover" on Hot 97 with Funk Flex.

In his new freestyle, which he raps effortlessly over the straight-to-the-point instrumental, he makes sure to reference the year he's had. This is a moment for him to enjoy himself, and from the way he comes in over the track, which originally featured Gunna and Drake, too, it's immediately evident that his success is well-deserved.

Drip Harder did quite well back when it dropped last month, exceeding first-week projections by debuting at the No. 4 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart with 130,000 equivalent album units. Not bad for a low-key collaboration album that dropped during an exceedingly busy time for rap music.

Just recently Lil Baby appeared in the video for "Chanel," his collaboration with Young Thug and Gunna. The track originally appeared on Thug's Slime Language project, with the video following the three artists as they perform in a transforming city and a forest infested with snakes.
