In a brief interview with TMZ, The Breakfast Club host DJ Envy said he was certain that 50 Cent wasn't intending to hurt a woman in the audience when he threw a microphone and highlighted his less-than-stellar record when it comes to throwing.

"I haven't spoken to 50, he's on tour right now and I know every date is a different city," Envy told TMZ when he was asked about the incident, which left Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain with bloody injuries after the microphone Fif threw hit her in the head. "It's a terrible situation. I mean, there's no way in hell 50 would... Everybody sees this big bully online but he's the nicest and [most] caring person, so I know it was probably an accident. I know it was an accident. I mean, things happen. The sound man seemed like they messed up with the sound and, I mean, 50 wasn't aiming for her."

He then took this as an opportunity to reference Fif's infamous first pitch at a New York Mets game in 2014. As seen in the video below, to say that Fif went wide is putting it lightly. "We've seen 50 throw that first pitch at [the] Major League Baseball game, and we've seen how crazy he throws," Envy joked. "I mean, I know that 50 didn't do that on purpose and I know he's very remorseful when it comes to things like that. 50 is a great guy."

Monegain has filed a police report regarding the incident and according to authorities, she said that Fif looked directly at her before throwing the microphone. Police, however, believe Fif intended to throw the microphone at the production crew after expressing frustration with sound issues during the Los Angeles show. "We don't know what she went through, or how crazy her pain was," Envy said. "So you could never say somebody's taking anything too far, but like I said, 50 is my guy and I know 50 will take care of her and make sure that she's good."

50 Cent has yet to address the situation, but his former G-Unit bandmate The Game certainly isn't happy about it. “Curtis, your fat ass came to L.A. hittin' women,” Game wrote across several screenshots showing the incident.
