After Nicki Minaj denied rumors of a collaboration with Coi Leray—and following Leray’s father Benzino apologizing for fueling the fire—it turns out the song is real, and coming soon.
“Blick Blick” will arrive on Friday, with Leray captioning her announcement post, “trendsetters loading.” The cover art is splashed with bright pinks and blues and shows Nicki and Coi standing side by side holding prop guns.
Benzino revealed last month on Clubhouse that Coi had a “song with Nicki Minaj” on the horizon. Leray asked her father to “sit the fuck down,” and Nicki shut down the rumor on her Instagram Stories shortly after, writing that she didn’t “have a collab coming with anyone.”
“It’s my turn, Daddy,” Leray said during a recent IG Live session about the single announcement leak. “I’mma need you to sit the fuck down, grab you some popcorn, enjoy the show, and clap for me when it’s time to clap for me. Alright, Daddy? Don’t worry. I told him this before I hopped online.”
Coi’s latest single “Anxiety” dropped back in January as the buzz for her upcoming album—which will follow her 2019 tape EC2—continues to grow.
