Benny the Butcher is showing love to Lil Durk and his journey to the top.

After Benny posted a handful of charting successes for his new album Tana Talk 4 on Facebook Monday, he made sure to seemingly reply to fans and friends who questioned why Lil Durk—who unleashed his new album 7220 on the same day last week—was charting above him and why Benny was “getting beat by” him.

“I could never hate on smirk like y’all hate on me,” Benny shared to his Facebook page. “See I respect the grind and kno it took him 10 yrs after ‘[Dis Ain’t] What U Want’ to get where he at me and bro got the same security and some staff so it’s all love.”

Benny continued, asking his fans to not “hate or envy the next man,” but instead to “put in the work and wait ya turn.” His posts before that included him toasting his charting success in the UK—where the album had a No. 5 top debut—and globally—where the album had the No. 7 best debut of the week.

Before the album release, Durk did “dare” anyone to share the release date on Instagram, but the two have shared the March 11 date for a minute.

Durk’s latest LP is projected to move 120,000 to 130,000 album equivalent units within its first week, and is expected to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. This will mark his first No. 1 solo album of his career, following his collaborative effort with Lil Baby, The Voice of the Heroes, which hit No. 1 last year with 150,000 units moved. Durk’s 7220 album includes guest appearances from Gunna, Summer Walker, Morgan Wallen, and Future.
