There's a rendition of Migos' "Stir Fry" that will absolutely make you cringe.

As 2018 creeps slowly toward its ultimate end, music publications—like the very one you’re reading—are wrapping things up with end-of-year lists ranking the best artists, albums, and songs. But it can be shocking, nay humbling, to remember there are people who lived this entire year never once choosing to listen to Post Malone or Migos.

Jimmy Fallon is now letting us see how this other half lives, by tracking them down in the Rockefeller Center and asking them to perform the lyrics to songs they’ve never heard. For a painful two-minute period, out-of-touch listeners (read: older, mostly white folk) are asked to do their best rendition of Drake’s “In My Feelings,” Post Malone’s “Psycho,” Cardi B’s “I Like It” (all three hit No. 1 this year), and Migos’ “Stir Fry.” It’s, as Fallon says, "interesting." Watch it go down in the video above.

This isn't the first time a late night talk show host expressed interest in having older people weigh in on pop culture. Less than two months ago, the other Jimmyasked a group of senior citizens at a farmer’s market to comment on the Cardi B vs. Nicki Minaj feud. Unsurprisingly, they had no idea what the fuck is going on, and probably would have rather been left alone while shopping for their locally grown produce.
