21 Savage closes out the year with not one, but two new tracks.

On New Year’s Eve, the Atlanta rapper dropped “No Debate” produced by Cardo and Deats, as well as the Kid Hazel-produced “Big Smoke.” 21 teased the records and their accompanying video via Instagram earlier that day, writing: “2 piece no fries @4pm. Let’s go into 2022 the right way.”

The new music comes as fans patiently await the follow-up to I Am > I Was, 21 Savage’s Grammy-nominated sophomore album that arrived back in 2018. Since then, 21—who was also named one of Complex’s Best Rappers in Their 20s in 2021—has dropped a number of collaborative projects, including Savage Mode II with Metro Boomin and the official soundtrack for Spiral.

During an interview with Ebro Darden earlier this year, 21 revealed he had plans to drop another project before 2022, but wasn’t making any promises.

“That’s what I’m planning on,” he said when questioned about a possible 2021 album. “But I like quality work. So however long that take, it’ll take but I’m dropping something, for sure.”

Here’s hoping we get a solo project in 2022.
