Run the Jewels implemented the element of surprise with their release of "The Yankee and the Brave," a song off their eagerly anticipated upcoming project RTJ4.

Dubbed the "jump the street corona edition," El-P explained that the intention behind dropping "The Yankee and the Brave" out of nowhere was to "hold you down in strange times." Run the Jewels were going to open for Rage Against the Machine as part of a global tour that was scheduled to begin next week, and span the next seven months. Those plans, however, were thrown off track by state governments imposing public gatherings restrictions to combat the spread of the coronavirus. The entire tour has been postponed with no new dates announced yet.

In the midst of so much uncertainty over how the COVID-19 pandemic will impact plans down the road, there is something you do not have to worry about. When RTJ4 finally arrives, it will be available for free, just like their previous projects.
