Royce da 5'9" continues to make his case that he doesn’t age by sounding at the top of his game.

For his next offering off THE ALLEGORY, slated for Feb. 21, Royce takes us to church. In the video for “Upside Down,” the rapper is spitting rhymes from the pulpit, enlightening the congregants with his message. Dressed to the nines while dropping lines about being the genre’s Thanos, this isn’t your regular Sunday Service.

Ashley Sorrell handles hook duty, singing a familiar interpolation of Suzanne Vega’s “Toms Diner.”

Benny the Butcher comes in at the end to take the track to another level. The Butcher doesn’t seem to miss lately, and comes through with more one-liners. “What’s the difference from a n***a who lived it and storytellers?/Of course we felons, sold a brick whiter than Tori Spelling” is just mean.

The video is left to be continued, as someone tries to rob Royce and the collection plate. We are left with a quote by Marcus Garvey: “We are going to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery because whilst others might free the body, none but ourselves can free the mind.”

As THE ALLEGORY’s release date gets closer, you can expect Royce to give fans more hints on what's in store before they get to hear it full.
