Teyana Taylor didn't leave fans hanging. About a month after dropping the Kehlani-assisted "Morning," the G.O.O.D. Music singer released her long-awaited single "We Got Love." To accompany the track, she shared a video which also features her husband Iman Shumpert and their daughter.

The song first surfaced back in 2018, shortly before it was performed on Saturday Night Live with Kanye West. Around that time, Teyana announced "We Got Love" would eventually appear on a "more completed" version of K.T.S.E., which had to undergo several cuts due to clearance issues.

"There are different levels of R&B on this album and then once y’all hear THE album, like next week, you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about because it’s way more completed. It’s just crazy," she told Big Boy, days after K.T.S.E. arrived. "When the album dropped, I didn’t even know that much stuff wasn’t cleared. It was really just an honest misunderstanding."

Unfortunately for fans, the extended album never arrived and the fate of "We Got Love" remained up in the air—that is, until Thursday night, when Teyana announced the single's release on social media.

The track, which samples The Younghearts' "We’ve Got Love (You Better Believe It)," will appear on the highly anticipated follow-up to K.T.S.E. Teyana had previously told fans the project would arrive this Friday, but it appears there has been a delay.

During an appearance on Elton John's Beats 1 radio show, Teyana confirmed her third studio album would arrive before 2020.

"Not a might, it's definitely gonna come out this year. I'm gonna do whatever I have to do to make sure it get out," she said, before announcing Kanye would not produce her next album. "This one is a little bit of everybody. I want to kind of explore a little bit more, get a couple more people involved, to really, really bring to life my vision."

While we wait for more details about the project, you can listen to "We Got Love" now on Apple Music and Spotify, as well as via YouTube above.
