Lil Uzi Vert has just landed his highest-charting single as a lead act with his latest track, "Futsal Shuffle 2020." The dance-oriented song, which opens with a sample of Tyler, the Creator, debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, outperforming "XO Tour Llif3," which peaked at No. 7.

Uzi has sat at the top of the chart before, but it was as a featured artist on Migos' No. 1 hit "Bad and Boujee." The chart performance of "Futsal Shuffle 2020" marks Uzi's second solo appearance and third overall appearance in the top 10. His previous singles from 2019, "Free Uzi," "That's a Rack," and "Sanguine Paradise" failed to reach the top 20.

Prior to the release of "Futsal Shuffle," Uzi indicated that he has more music on the way soon. The beloved Philly rapper first announced his highly-anticipated second studio album, Eternal Atake, in 2018, and after a number of delays it's finally looking like the record will arrive in 2020 through Generation Now/Atlantic.

Meanwhile, Grimes recently revealed that she was ghosted by Uzi after he asked if she would produce an EP for him. "I sent him the WeTransfer and he never downloaded it," she explained in an interview with Zane Lowe. "And I was like, 'Dude, I spent two weeks on this.' It hurt my feelings."
