After Kanye West’s first opera Nebuchadnezzar debuted in Los Angeles in November, he has premiered another production in Miami, titled Mary.

The opera featured music by the Sunday Service choir and was directed by Vanessa Beecroft, who also helmed Nebuchadnezzar. The Mary opera was billed as a collaboration between “the Sunday Service collective,” described in the press release as “a ministry formed in January of 2019,” and Access Opera. Mary unfolded at Miami Marine Stadium during Miami Art Basel. According to tweets from the event, there were twelve scenes involved in the production, which took place on a barge.

The most jarring part was seeing Kanye himself, who was completely painted Silver. Naturally, people took notice.

Check out a few clips from the performance.
