Lil Uzi Vert is undoubtedly one of the biggest rappers from Philadelphia, but during a recent barbershop visit he was told he doesn't run the city like some have implied. In a video that has surfaced online, presumably from his Instagram Stories, the Philly rapper gave a response to those critics.

"So I was in the barbershop," Uzi said in the video. "And n***as talkin' about 'Lil Uzi don't run the city.' Stop playing bruh, y'all broke ass Uzis. Y'all already know."

While he didn't take shots at any other rappers from the city in the clip, he definitely made it clear he takes issue with anyone doubting his significance.

Last week the rapper flexed his wealth when a fan asked him to pay for his $90,000 college tuition. "Ninety grand? I could pay for that," the rapper said. "But this is the thing, though: If I pay for your college, are you gonna finish college?"

While Lil Uzi Vert has been a lot quieter in 2019, the rapper has recently explained on his Twitter that his grandmother has been in the hospital recently. "I know you beautiful ladies and successful gentlemen prolly saying, 'He should of been told us,' but I never been threw this I needed privacy I needed family comfort because I just didn't understand," he explained. "I been flexing so hard and buying the world because deep down I'm hurt."
