XXXTentacion "Royalty"

About five months before his death, XXXTentacion informed fans he had a dancehall-inspired record on deck:

“Vybz Kartel featuring XXXTentacion, coming soon,” he announced on Instagram, “lol only the Jamaicans and Hispanics know what I’m talking about!”

Several snippets of the record began surfacing online shortly after XXX’s fatal shooting, but many fans have spent the last year wondering when the song—titled “Royalty”—would get a proper release. The late rapper’s mother answered that questioned Tuesday, confirming a July 19 drop.

In addition to Kartel’s contribution, “Royalty” also features Stefflon Don and Ky-Mani Marley. The Los Angeles Times reports the song will appear on a deluxe reissue of XXX’s ? album, which will arrive next Friday. The two-disc release will feature the original album and the entire A Ghetto Christmas Carol EP, as well as some new material, remixes, and XXX’s voice memos. Each purchase will also come with a booklet featuring never-before-seen photos.

The deluxe reissue can be pre-ordered on the rapper’s official website for $17.98. A three-LP version is also available for $79.98.

“Royalty” can be streamed now on Apple Music and via Spotify below.
