Busta Rhymes had to be held back from striking someone after a conversation between the rapper and an alleged fan got heated.

TMZ has the video of Busta getting close to two men wearing construction vests. One of the men apparently called Busta a homophbic slur and Rhymes tries and fails to punch him. Cops eventually stepped between the men.

There's no lead-up to the TMZ video and the website's unnamed sources say that one of the men filed a harrasment claim against Rhymes. He reportedly told police that Busta was the aggressor. He said that the artist went off after he said hello to him, which lead to the incindent in the clip. Police sources told TMZ that they didn't see the incident described, so they closed the case without any further action. Busta was not arrested.

The incident is similar to one Busta went through late last year. On New Year's Eve, Busta got into a scrap with a man who apparently thought Rhymes was hitting on his wife. The video that was released shows Rhymes and the man grappling, but much like this more-recent squabble, the fight was broken up and no arrests were made. Busta hasn't had any physical altercations with celebrities of his own stature, but he did get in an internet fight with similarly built 50 Cent in 2018. Busta called  Fif a "rancid face lookin’ ass mu’f**ker” after 50 repeatedly made fun of Busta's appearance.

"I heard yo ass was ackin’ up my brother @50cent. Your tough looks funny as hell you tight button face havin’ ass n**ga. You look like you was smellin’ sh** like [your] bandana stink," he wrote on Instagram at the time.
